Meet Ram 1500 REV: The Future of Electric Hauling!

In a groundbreaking event in New York, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares introduced the world to the future of American automotive excellence with the unveiling of the all-electric Ram 1500 REV. The event marked a significant milestone for the company, which is transforming into a mobility tech brand with a commitment to carbon neutrality by 2038.

The Ram 1500 REV is not just another electric vehicle; it’s a testament to Stellantis’s dedication to leveraging its scale and technological prowess. With plans to introduce 25 new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to the U.S. market by the mid-2030s, Stellantis is setting a brisk pace, aiming for 50% of its sales to be BEV-based by 2030. The electrification offensive begins with the Ram ProMaster BEV in 2023, followed by the Jeep Recon, the Wagoneer S, and subsequent releases from Chrysler and Dodge.

Mike Koval, CEO of the Ram brand, took the stage to detail the impressive capabilities of the Ram 1500 REV. The vehicle boasts a muscular stance, cutting-edge technology, and performance stats that set new industry benchmarks. With a targeted range of up to 500 miles on the optional battery pack, the Ram 1500 REV promises to alleviate range anxiety for its users. The standard 168-kilowatt-hour battery pack itself offers an impressive 350 miles of range.

Performance is at the heart of the Ram 1500 REV, with dual 250-kilowatt electric drive modules (EDMs) delivering the equivalent of 654 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. The truck can charge from zero to sixty in a mere 4.4 seconds, and it doesn’t shy away from heavy lifting, boasting a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds and a max payload capacity of 2,700 pounds.

The Ram 1500 REV is designed with practicality in mind, featuring bi-directional charging capabilities that can power job sites or homes during outages. The vehicle’s 800-volt DC fast charging system can add up to 110 miles of range in about 10 minutes, ensuring drivers spend less time waiting and more time doing.

In terms of design, the Ram 1500 REV doesn’t disappoint. It features a full-length aero belly pan, multi-link independent rear suspension, and an active level four-corner air suspension with adaptive damping. The interior is equally impressive, with a new 14.5-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and a segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen.
