Ram 1500 REV Release Date: 2027 Arrival, Delays and Status
Ram has not announced an on-sale or delivery date for the Ram 1500 REV. The company says only that the truck arrives in 2027. A supplier memo reported by Automotive News in September 2026 points to mid-April 2027, about nine months later than planned, but Ram has not confirmed that month.
There is no price yet, and we found no announcement that orders are open. This page separates what Ram has said from what has only been reported, and it was last checked on October 13, 2026.

Which Truck Is the Ram 1500 REV Now?
The name changed in September 2025. On September 12, 2025, Stellantis said it was ending development of a full-size battery-electric pickup because demand for those trucks was slowing in North America.
The company renamed the range-extended Ramcharger to the Ram 1500 REV, and the cancelled electric truck is no longer coming. So if you read an older article about an electric Ram 1500 REV with a 500-mile battery, it describes a truck Ram will not build.
The REV that is coming has a 92 kWh battery, two electric drive motors and a 3.6 L Pentastar V6 that only turns a generator. The engine has no mechanical link to the wheels, so the truck always drives electrically. Ram’s press kit lists a 130 kW generator and a targeted range of up to 690 miles.
Why the Ram 1500 REV Date Keeps Slipping
The date has moved several times. InsideEVs reported at the January 2026 Detroit Auto Show that earlier plans called for the first half of 2026, and that Ram was then targeting the second half of 2026 as a 2027 model. In September 2026, Automotive News reviewed a supplier memo that puts the Ram nine months behind, from a mid-2026 target to April 2027. Mopar Insiders, summarizing the report, says two supplier executives described the delay as a way to get a smoother launch of the shared powertrain.
Ram did not confirm a month. A Ram spokesperson said, “Timing continues to be 2027,” and Stellantis said it was on track with Ram for 2027. Treat mid-April 2027 as a reported target, not a promise. Ram’s own U.S. page still showed “projected availability 2026” when autoevolution wrote about the delay on September 7, 2026.
Can You Order or Reserve a Ram 1500 REV Yet?
We could not confirm that you can. Stellantis said in a December 2024 release, later updated, that the REV “will be open for consumer orders in the first half of 2026.” That window passed. Ram’s news listing on October 13, 2026 showed order-open releases for the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT (June 22, 2026) and the Rumble Bee (August 13, 2026), and a “now shipping” release for the TRX SRT on July 1, 2026, but we found none for the REV.
Two practical points follow from that:
- No deliveries yet. We found no report of a customer Ram 1500 REV being delivered, and the supplier memo puts arrival in 2027.
- Ask your dealer about deposits. We could not verify any reservation program or deposit amount, so ask a Ram dealer what, if anything, they are taking and whether it is refundable.

The charging figure is the one to watch. Ram’s 2023 press kit, updated in September 2025, said up to 175 kW, while InsideEVs reported 145 kW for the production truck. The truck uses a CCS port, not NACS, according to InsideEVs. Mopar Insiders lists Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Limited and Tungsten trims, but we could not confirm that on a Ram page.
What About Price and the Federal Tax Credit?
Ram has not announced a price. The federal new clean vehicle credit will not apply to a truck bought in 2027: the IRS says it is not available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. Any state or utility incentive would be separate, and we did not research those.
